Dr. Dominic Means, DC
Dr. Dominic Means came up through Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the place the profession was born, and graduated in 2017. He trained in the Blair Technique, a precise, specific way of adjusting the upper cervical spine, because he believes the body knows how to heal itself once the nervous system is clear. He's also one of the few around here who treats animals too, mostly horses and dogs, since as he puts it, every animal has a nervous system just like ours. Off the clock you'll find him playing music, gaming, or throwing axes. Same hands either way: steady, specific, and all his.

Beyond the clinic
Dr. Means brings practical health and stress education outside the four walls of the office, to corporate meetings, seminars, conferences, health fairs, and community screenings.
Ashlie · Licensed Massage Therapist
Ashlie trained as a massage therapist at Boulder College of Massage Therapy and worked in Colorado before moving home to South Dakota. She went on to earn her nursing degree from Mount Marty and spent years as a nurse, but she never stopped missing the work. She came back to it, got relicensed, and now brings a real clinical eye to her soft-tissue work, the kind that helps your adjustments hold longer.

“I started seeing Dr. Dominic in Dec. of 2020. My neck, back and both shoulders were out, I was in extreme pain day and night. I could not move my head left or right. After working with Dr. Dom I am still here mostly pain free. The people I work with have noticed how much I have improved. THANK YOU Dr. Dominic!!”

What we offer
Dr. Means treats the whole body, not one symptom. Adjustments, nutrition, soft-tissue work, and sports performance designed together, not sold separately.
Specific, corrective adjustments targeting the root cause of your pain. Dr. Means uses the Blair Technique and a range of proven methods to restore alignment and nerve function.
Pushing for a personal record or coming back from an injury, aligned means stronger. We work with athletes at every level to improve function, reduce pain, and keep you moving.
The spine is only part of the picture. Dr. Means integrates nutritional support into care plans to help the body heal faster, reduce inflammation, and build lasting wellness.
Soft-tissue work that prepares the body for adjustments and accelerates recovery. Our licensed therapists address tension, improve circulation, and help your adjustments hold longer.
Kids benefit from healthy spines too. Gentle, age-appropriate adjustments help with ear infections, ADD/ADHD, scoliosis, and general growth and wellness from the start.
Pregnancy changes everything, your posture, your hips, the curve of your low back. Gentle, prenatal-safe care eases the pelvic and back pain that often starts mid-pregnancy and helps your body prepare for a smoother delivery, all without medication.
After a car accident, even small aches can turn into lasting pain when they go untreated. We help you recover from whiplash and other injuries without drugs or surgery, restoring alignment so the body can heal the way it's meant to.
The part most clinics can't offer
Dr. Means is one of the few chiropractors in the area trained to work on animals. As he puts it, every animal has a nervous system just like ours. From performance horses to the family dog, the same precise, gentle approach helps them move and feel better.
The correction
Good chiropractic isn't cracking everything and hoping. It's finding the exact segment that's out of line and bringing it back where it belongs. That's the whole idea. Here's what it looks like.

How it works
Dr. Means takes the time to understand what's actually going on before he adjusts anything. Here's what your first few visits look like.
Call or book online and we'll sit down with you at no cost or obligation. Tell us what's going on and we'll start building the picture.
Dr. Means examines your spine, posture, and nervous system. X-rays when needed give us the full picture so nothing gets missed.
No cookie-cutter approach. We design a specific program for your condition, lifestyle, and goals, with a clear timeline and honest expectations.
Most patients feel a difference early in care. The goal is to get you out of the office and back to doing everything pain was keeping you from.
No cost, no obligation. Just a clear answer.
Still wondering something? We'd rather you ask than guess.
Your first visit is a no-cost, no-obligation conversation with Dr. Means. You describe what's going on, he examines your spine and posture, and you leave with a clear picture of what chiropractic can do for your specific situation. No pressure to continue.
It varies by condition and how long it's been going on. Many patients notice improvement in the first few visits. Dr. Means has treated patients who came in barely able to move their neck and worked them down from twice a week to once a month maintenance over several months.
The Blair Technique focuses on adjusting the upper cervical (neck) spine with great precision. It's gentler than general manipulation and is particularly effective for patients with neck pain, headaches, and chronic conditions that haven't responded to other care.
Yes. Dr. Means provides gentle pediatric adjustments and has experience with conditions like ear infections, ADD/ADHD, and scoliosis in children. Adjustments are adapted to the child's size and age.
Dr. Means takes a whole-body, philosophy-rooted approach to care. He designs individual programs, not generic plans, and integrates nutrition and soft-tissue therapy alongside adjustments. He has treated over 1,000 patients and measures success by getting people OUT of the office, not into a long-term dependency.
